Drew Moore recurred as CIA Director Byron Gedney in the second season of Netflix’s The Night Agent. His recent television work also includes Chicago P.D., American Horror Stories, Law & Order, and Elsbeth. For his performance in the feature I Think I’m Sick, Moore received a Garden State Film Festival nomination for Best Supporting Actor and shared the festival’s Best Ensemble award.

Born and raised in Nashville, Moore grew up in a family with three generations of ministers in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). As a teenager, he briefly considered following them into the ministry before finding his own vocation in the theater.

Moore studied theater at Northwestern University and the British American Drama Academy, and also studied with actor and teacher Jeff Corey. He was one of the founding actors of the Nashville Shakespeare Festival, starring as Orlando in As You Like It, the festival’s inaugural production.

Moore also holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and has taught Classics and English at Brooklyn College and the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Hardly a day passes that he doesn’t either watch or play tennis.
